Is it unusual to still feel pain months after sugery?

Hi again -- I posted a while back after I had surgery to remove a 6 cm cyst on my right over in June.  That was my second surgery in less than a year (had cysts removed from both ovaries in August 2008).  I'm on once-monthly depo-provera shots to prevent new cysts and control pain, as an ultrasound found another cyst on my left over just a month after the surgery.  Anyway, now it's my right side that hurts again -- BAD.  It's been about a week, and is getting worse.  My doctor says to wait until after I get my next depo shot next week and see if the pain gets better.  But I'm nervous.  Do you think I have another cyst?  Is that even possible with my ovulation suppressed with so much progesterone?  Or maybe the area around my ovary is just going to hurt forever.  Any reassurance would help -- I'm away from home, at school right now, and by myself.  Thank you!

It is possible you have another cyst but it sounds like your doctor's advice may be sound.  You may also have issues with adhesions from the surgeries.  Try taking a look at ball rolling - go to the health pages and see the posting for dealing with adhesions.  Good luck and hope you can get some relief soon.
