I also have a 10cm endometriosis cyst but I don't feel any pain.

The doctor gave me the option of surgery or going on birth control pills to see if it'd shrink first.  So not sure if i should go through surgery already?  or stay on the pill for 3 months to see if it'll shrink before deciding?

Thoughts?

Hello,
You have not mentioned your age but in premenopausal women, it is usually due to ovarian cysts, ectopic (tubal) pregnancies, benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous) tumors, endometriomas, polycystic ovaries, and tubo-ovarian abscess. In post menopausal women, it may be caused by cancer, fibroids, fibromas, diverticular abscess.

Get it checked from a gynecologist to get further investigated to determine the cause. Surgery is the remedy in most cases but diagnosis needs to be confirmed first.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
