A swollen and painful abdomen is common and does not necessarily mean a colon issue. Ascites can build up (fluid) as well as the pain from the tumor pressing on other areas. What kind of doctor is she seeing? I do hope she has a gyn/onc doing her surgery.
shes tellin' her doctor that her abdomen become painful and the doctor tell her that her sotmach or somewhat intestine is become swolllen so they might cut the swollen part.... thank u for ur info.... but how true that they might cut the swollen part? isnt it risky for the patient? she still not scheduled for surgery,,,, her abdomen become bigger,,,, im very confused bout her situation now... she cant eat nor drink, because she always feel full...
thanks again
In some instances they can tell by the ultrasound because of the look of the tumor. When is she scheduled for surgery? Please ensure she has a gyn/onc do the surgery for the best outcome.
hi! thank u for ur comment... actually i really dont know if it is a what u called cyst or maybe a tumor, because in my sis' n laws ultrasound they never determined if what kind if either it is a cyst or a tumor. the doctor told her that it was a cancer.... how come they know if it is a cancer oir not even f there is no biopsy at all?
Doctors will often intermingle the terms tumor, cyst, and mass. These can sometimes be felt by the doctor and are diagnosed via transvaginal ultrasound. With this test they can see what kind of cyst and the size. Please ask her to get this information from the test results. I've not heard a doctor use the term non-benign. Over 95% of all cysts are benign and often they can't be sure until they do surgery. Please take a look at the health pages (top right) as there is a lot of good information there. I hope all turns out well for her.
