removal of overies

I  am 37 years old.  My both ovaries were removed 3 years back due to ovarian cyst. Doctor suggested me Premarine 0.625 mcg tablets regularly. In latest stenography report, it is shown that both ovaries are normal. Is it possible that there is growth of ovaries? Also my periods are irregular. Kindly advice.

I just read your post and I am confused??????????
You have said your ovaries were removed 3 years ago and then you say that in the stenography both your ovaries are normal also you have said that your periods are irregular.

I have cyst in both my ovaries and my OB/GYN told me that my ovaries need to come out.  My understanding is,  if the Ovaries are out than there is no periods at all. I do not understand how are you having irregular periods if your ovaries were removed 3 years ago?

See a different doctor and get an MRI, and see what was actually removed from you.  Maybe your ovaries are not gone, or maybe you are misunderstanding what the report said and it merely says your hormone levels are similar to if your ovaries were still there.

I am surprised the doctor just put you onto Premarin.  If he really removed both of your ovaries, does he not want you to do HRT, where you take estrogen much of the month and progesterone for seven or ten days, to cause a period so you won't get hyperplasia?

Frankly, I think you need to see another doctor and have him or her look at your records and explain to you what you had done.  I'm really kind of surprised at even the idea that both ovaries were removed because of one ovarian cyst.

That's a wierd one.  I would look that up on the web, and then see a doctor about it.  Blessings - Blu
