Ovarian cysts

In October I went to the ER for excruciating pain in my right side. I thought it was my appendix. A CT scan showed I had a 6x3x3 cm cyst in my left ovary so that lead them to believe I had one rupture on my right side to cause the pain.

I'm usually 115lbs, have been for years. I work out regularly and I eat well. I had noticed weight gain over the last few months but I attested it to stress and lack of sleep. I had been having sharp pains once a month that would last a couple days but I knew nothing of cysts so I didn't think it was the problem.. But now I'm thinking I've been having rupturing cysts since May.

But I'm now  125lbs and I just feel pregnant! I can't duck in the swelling!

I finally got into a gynecologist and they said we were going to wait and see. I just had an ultrasound done and it's the same size it was three months ago.

I'm now feeling pain when I put pressure on it, when I laugh. I'm using the bathroom more frequently than before. And the damn weight gain...

Any suggestions?

Hi there, sorry to hear about you're pain. If it continue to cause you pain & it's still the same size you're OBGYN might suggest birth control or surgery to have it remove
I had on on both ovaries but they went away on it on. Try to use a hot compress and  over the counter pain meds. Hope you feel better.

Also,

Will the swelling go down if it ruptured?

If the doctors won't take me seriously is there anything I can do?

I have tricare so I'm limited on gynecologist options. I go where they tell me to go unfortunately.
