I was seen by diferent doctors for my right hand. They even done number of test e.g.neves test et. I had neves test done three times before and not thing came. I was even give a steriod injection in the hand that might help but that did not help at all. End of August and the of september 2009 i started getting cramps which i went to see my gp four or five and was given pain killers to take that might help which it did not. So i was sent to see a rheumatology. Then i was sent to neurology doctor might they be able to help me. This time i was sent to have a neves test, mri scan and also a blood test. i have been sent an apointment for vascular surgery which is next month.
Pls could u help me out I just want to know what vascular surgery stands for and what types of tests are done. I would be so greatful for ur help.

Hi Again Gurneet,

I recalled your post asking about vascular surgery. I did respond with some information for you. Address below.

So please help me understand better what you are asking. You may have some repeat testing, possibly some painless Doppler imaging of the vessels that feed your hand.

A vascular surgeon should be able to determine if you require a surgical intervention to treat your hand pain. But of course they will need to find a reason for the pain.

I assume you have had all the vitamin deficiency blood levels done? If not that may also be another possibility to consider.

I hope this helps. Again if you have a more specific question and I have not answered it please let me know.

Best of lcuk to You,
~Tuck

Vascular is relating to the blood vessels.  I have no clue as to what tests would be done for something like that.  Maybe they're thinking the blood flow is being compromised somehow and that's causing the cramps.

I get a "Charley-horse" type of cramp in my left hand, in the palm, from time to time.  I've had many surgeries on that hand in relation to having the thumb joint replaced and then developing RSD.  I don't get them all that often but when I do, it's very painful.

Have you seen an actual hand specialist?  I was sort of running in circles until I went to see a hand specialist and then was able to get to the bottom of things.
