Dull pain in right groin region

This is my first post so hello to all using medhelp.

I'm a 23 year old male and for about a year now I have been getting a dull pain in my right groin area. more specifically the pubic region a couple of inches from my right leg. The pain can on occasion seem to reach to the top of my right testical, however there is no pain in the testical. I feel no other symtom on to of this but it can be discomforting, and I've started to worry about what maybe casuing it. I have not seen a medical proffesional about the situation but wanted to see if anyone maybe able to shed just a little bit of light on possibilites or help.

On a smaller note I don't feel the pain while moving, and never really feel it while in bed, mainly sitting.

Thank-you for any help or advice you can provide!

Thank-you very much for the information. With that decription you gave I could count it down to an injury I had a few years ago where I damaged my foot/leg But that was down the left side of my body. I think the best think to do is see a medical proffesional for more advice. But what you have given me a good a good start, thanks

Not a lot of information, but this could be a tight psoas muscle or iliopsoas.  When these important muscles are too tight, you tend to get groin pulls and other debilitating injuries, so physical therapy before it gets worse would be the smart thing to do, assuming this is the problem.

If it was a hernia, it would usually bother you when standing.
