In Need of more than advice

I fell down a flight of stairs on 12-20-2004. I have healed from a partially collapsed t-6 vertabrae. The fracture occurred on inside of the bone which subsequently caused the collapse of the bone slightly. I have assumed my daily activities and went back to work after the healing process of about 18 months (give or take a few weeks). I returned to work and stopped seeing the doctor because the pain gradually went away for the most part. I am a cook by trade and I use my upper body for movement in my profession. I'm also on my feet long hours standing in one plcae while shifting my upper body all day. About 3 years ago the pain in my upper back area came back slightly and then became a 6-8 on a scale of 1 to 10. I went to another doctor and he told me after an MRI that I was diagnosed with Spondylosis and it would gradually get worse. I was prescribed 7.5 /750 Vicodin for pain relief. After 2 years I could not get the work related injury resolved. I changed doctors and went to a Pain Management Clinic which requested Epidural Injections because the doctor said it is the only nthing that will help my pain but have been denied from the Bureau of Worker's Compensation. I am presently taking 5/325 percocet 3 times a day plus 30 miligram morphine 2 times a day or in between the percocet dosages. I am waiting for my insurance from my new job to start so I can get the injections because the medication is no longer working because of tolerance build up but I know that I have dependency issues and dont know what to do. I have tried to detox myself but I havent been successful in going more than 2 days without pulling out my hair. Can you please help me with some advice!!!! I cant stand the pain I suffer but I cant stand being addicted to this medication. I need some help and advice on where to go from here. Thank you for all and any help!!!!

Wow, I am sorry you have to go through all that.

Well, I know of a couple of things that might help with the pain, something I might have to consider, it's the implant that sends electric (not like wall voltage) signals to the brain instead of pain. It lets you still know there is pain, without feeling pain. I am sorry I can't remember exactly what it is.

As far as the detox, it's not by any means going to be an easy one, but this is for sure the right place.

Another thing for the pain is daily messages, at least it might help.

I am sorry I am not that much help, but jeesh, as far as what you need help with, you are in the right place.

Now since you want to have detox help possibly AND pain management, I would suggest you post this also in the "pain management" community, it might help regarding.......pain management.

Please stick around, there is help.
