I'm glad you got a walker to help you get around. Please don't ever be self conscious about using it - you are doing whatever you can to help you and your family and using the walker is aiding you with that.
I'm sorry you didn't get more repsonse to your original question. Unfortunately, here on medhelp, we don't recommend doctors of any kind to others. The main reason being that the doctor that is perfectly right for me may not be right for you - same as the med that works for my pain may not work for yours.
It sounds like you've already done some research trying to find a new doctor, but a couple of suggestions I might add, if you haven't already done so - is call your local hospital and ask them if they have a physician referral service. Many hospitals do (and it's usually free). They might be able to provide you with a list of doctors in your area.
Is there any way you can go back to the PM (pain management) that you had been seeing? If you haven't already done so, I would suggest giving his office a call and explain your situation to them and see if it would be possible. It sounds like he was treating you well and definitely understood your condition, so if you can get back in with him, I think that would be the best bet.
Have you asked your OB/BYN or PCP if they have any suggestions as to a PMP? Your OB might be a good source of information here, since the cause of your pain was cause from a complication with childbirth - he/she may be a little more familiar with it and be able to refer you to the right PMP.
I wish you the best of luck! Please keep us posted as to what you find out and how you're doing.
Just got a walker so I can get around a little...now to swallow my pride and use it!
I almost forgot, I live in Oregon.
thanks again!
