Muscle pain attack

I have an abnormally high creatine kinase level.  My GP has tested negative for Rheumatoid Factor.  When it rained the other day and I woke up in the morning all the muscles across and down both sides of my back, the back and front of my thighs and calves were extra stiff and knotted.  The pain has taken over a week to wear off and I still feel like I've been beaten up.  Do the symptoms sound familiar? What exactly is wrong with me?

Hi I have read that a magnesium deficiency can cause tenseness in the muscles
i.e calcium helps the muscle tense and magnesium can cause it to relax.
If you have an imbalance in Calcium magnesium potassium zinc, it can cause muscle pain.
I only found this because I was having sever charlie horse cramps at night.
I started taking all above and Vitamin D, the cramps went away.
I hope you feel better soon.

Did you dr explain what the elevated levels mean? I came across your post and had no idea what it is so I did a quick search. I am afraid I can't help you but I do think that you should do some research on it. This is one of the links I cam across http://www.livestrong.com/article/462778-high-creatine-kinase-levels-and-muscle-damage/ I would go back to the dr and find out exactly what this means for you and why your levels are high. Best wishes, Sissie
