Morphine Sulphate VS Hydrocodone, OxyIR

I was wondering if you withdraw from MS?  The reason I am asking is I have been in pain management for years and have had OXYcotin, Hydrocodone and various others and I do not see myself jumping up out of bed "having" to take my MS where while on the others it seems I have to take them from preventing me from getting mini withdrawals.  I hope this makes sense....It seem that if you do not take your Hydro you begin yawning, body aches ect... BUT if I do not see myself doing the same on the MS

I am presently on 30mgof MS 3x a time and 10/325 3 x a day Hydrocodone and I am practically pain free most of the day

Hi Larbec,

It is good to hear from you. I am so glad that you are practically pain free. What a blessing.

Ohio is correct. You will have withdrawals from any opiate, some more so than others. As I have said repeatedly our systems are all a bit different. It's not if you will experience withdrawals, it's how severe they will be. Much depends on the particular  medication and how our body reacts.

Peace,
Tuck

yes you will have WD's from MS Contin.. the reason you notice the difference so much between it and the hydro is that hydro is VERY short acting and WD sets in very quickly...MS Contin is a slow time released opiate and stays in your system much longer. Hence it takes longer for WD to set in once you discontinue it...
