I am the same age, female, same issue. I was
first told it was carpal tunnel, but it was not. I have Raynauds. It's kinda like frost bite, but since I live in So Cal, not frost bite at all. Burning, feels like they are asleep, numb, cold and can get very pale. It is not fun, but manageable. Good luck!
I agree with Dr. Mathur. If the pain is severe, and won't go away, then see your doctor and find out what's causing this right away.
Hi!
Burning/tingling/numbness/pain in hands can be due to compression of spinal nerves in the neck or due to peripheral neuropathy secondary to diabetes, hypothyroidism, Lyme’s or lupus. Rheumatoid arthritis of the joint, carpal tunnel syndrome, anxiety stress, chemical dermatitis, vitamin B12 or D deficiency etc are the other causes. Treating the cause will help relieve the symptoms. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
