Leg pain

I work a very demanding job and am on my feet all the time. When I get home from work I usually will lay on the couch to watch tv and within an hour my legs are so uncomfortable I can not get them comfortable. It is the worst feeling in the world. I have been to doc after doc who diagnosed me with chronic pain but I can not get to a pain management center until the middle of December. I have ended up in the e.r. where they accuse me of being addicted to pain killers. I had surgery in October (laproscopic on my right tube and cyst) and at the post op they said there was nothing that they could do about it bc it was not related to my surgery. I have gone to a family doctor who put me on Requip for Restless Leg Syndrome which does not help at all and Ambien for sleep ( which also does nothing) I am at my wits end and so miserable at night that it is not funny. Does anyone know what this could be and how to get treatment now so I can have a normal life?

It does sound like RLS or maybe Fibromyalgia. Let the Doc know that the meds he Rxed aren't working. Dealing with chronic pain IS a pain. Some meds may work for one but not another with the same condition and you will just have to keep trying until you find what works for you.
I have significant leg pain form a failed back surgery and have tried many different medications. One that I have found that does seem to help a bit is called Lyrica. They're new and not yet available in generic (that I know of) but your Doc may have samples. My Pain Management Doc gave me samples and I've been taking them about 5 months now. Not sure if they will work for you, but it's a suggestion..
Good Luck--J
