I have crohns and arthritis, I have pinched 4 nerves in my neck &back. which causes me constant pain. worse on the pc. but I'm bored with not working now.

I'm glad you joined us. Welcome to MedHelp. Most of us have been in pain for some time. It's been about 20 years for me but severity increased about 10 years ago. None of us are strangers to pain. I am sorry that you too know what CP is like.

Lyrica, like most medications it will take awhile before your system adjusts to it. So I would encourage you to hang in for awhile.  

I struggled to continue my career until this June when I could no longer tolerate the constant pain.  I miss it very much too. So I know what you are talking about. I have found MedHelp is very benefical for me in a number of ways. It does help fill the void of not having a career any longer but more importantly there are wonderful ppl here. It's where my new friends are and I hope you will soon feel the same.

well i am hurting some i am on a timed release med its called avaniza 30 mg which is a morphine and i also take pecrs 10/325 for breakthrough pain.. i am wonderingdo you go to a pain specialist? they re really good at helping to control pain.. i found my pain dr about 3 years ago and he has been the only one to control my pain.. i am by no means an expert but any thing i can help you with feel free to pm me..molly is very good and she knows her stuff ...brian

             Thanks for the note, thats a long time to be in pain,I guess your an expert on how to cope and treatments avalible.I GOT AN IDEA FROM ANOTHERblog and decided to take Lyrica 75mg. but I took half.Now Iremember why I stoped lol. it helps the pain but Ifeel like im in another dimension.I toke it an hour ago.How are you today?and does it hurt to sit at the pc?

I'm glad you have found us. Like Jolly said, we all suffer with chronic pain and in some way we have all found it here as well. You will find great advise from the members as well as give advise. You may have knowlage on a topic that someone does not and can give that knowlage to someone in need. This is also a great place to make new friends. I have met many here and have shared e-mails and phone numbers. I have found that if I have a problem and can't work it out, I have the members here to lean on. welcome to the forum. sorry you are in pain.. if it is any comfort all of us in here are in pain most of the time, i have suffered chronic pain for the last 15 years.. so i know where you are comming from, if you have any questions or concerns , want to rant and at times we all need to whine alittle bit just post and post often many good people in here that can help.. god bless and good luck
