Kind of like heart attacks aren't limited to old people- medical problems can come at any age. I'm sorry you are having a rough time of it. I know dietary restrictions can be a trial. I have many myself, though due to other medical problems. Have you found all the dietary info you need from a user friendly website now?
yes there were stones in my ductwork and I did find out that my muscles do weigh more which I do have a lot of muscle. They told me to avoid a ton of different food which isn't easy for me its very hard especially when you see people around you eating it s well. They gave me a webSIte to look at how to A/Void another attack but I'm finding more info since one they weren't very helpful. I appreciate it I just thought it was crazy since I didn't think this could happen to teens. Since my grandma had a problem with her gall bladder I thought that can only happen to older people.
I had a doctor tell me once, if I recall correctly, that occasionally, a gallbladder problem will present itself like it is heart pain. I'm glad they found the stones and are planning to help you with that.
Measurements of certain parts of your body (such as hips) and your bone size as well as your height are used when trying to determine if you are a healthy weight. Muscle weighs more than fat, so doctors need to take that into account when looking at your weight.
I hope they gave you a list of examples of things to avoid to try to avoid another attack. Were there any stones in the ductwork?
thanks for posting back with info-----most folks don't for some reason so thank you om
so guys just wanted to give you an update on what has been going on, my parents couldn't get an appointment right away so when I had another breathing pain a few days ago they did end up taking me to the emergency room. They did a bunch of tests and from the looks of it I have gall stones a lot that were clogged up in my gallbladder I never knew I had any they said might have had a lot from more than just a year tht it takes a while to realize I had them. So they had me stay a few nights and gave me a bunch of medicine to take they said they want me to get my gall bladder removed but not till after the holidays so for now they want me to take the medicine be off of sports till I get this gall bladder removed because the pain can increase. I also have to watch what I eat.because the fat and greasy food can also make it worse. They told me its because what I eat and I'm overweight for my size. Which I thought that's rude they told me. What I don't get is that I work out all the time and play tons of sports and I'm skinny I don't know how this could have happened. But I appreciate it the help and just ready to get the gal bladder removed after the holidays. If the pain gets really worse and I come back in they will have t remove it right away. But thanks again guys I appreciated the help.
i agree with livinginhope---er. can only help!
It being so bad you were screaming in your sleep and with your symptoms, I believe your parents should not wait for an appointment, but take you to the emergency room, Caligirl.
yes I will, now my parents think something is wrong because all of sudden last night the pain increased horribly like really bad I started screaming in my sleep they said because of the pain and I couldn't breathe at all it felt like my chest was closing up. this has happened twice already last night and this morning so they are going to set up an appointment to see what it is since it has been way to long even since last night they noticed its getting worse I cant even breathe that much this morning because of the pain. So well see what the outcome is thanks guys.
ok! School nurse first chance ya git cali. OK?
when I take advil, aspirin or tylenol it hurts worse it doesnt take the pain away and the pain gets worse so my soccer coach took me out for two weeks till I figure out what it is because just yesterday at practice we were running and all of a sudden I fall down because of the pain. Even in swim when I do alot of my sports the pain increases.
It also could be a pulled muscle in that area. The same thing happened to me and I worried so much! After 6 months it healed by itself and stopped hurting completely! You could be worried for nothing also-can't you get it checked out? Does the pain go away or lessen if you take aspirin?
Thanks I appreciate it. I have told my parents but my parents think its because of how I eat alot and it might be over weight issues. But I'm honestly not and it has gotten worse and like my cycles has changed too so I'm trying to figure out what it is. I work ouy alot so I dought its over weight issues. And I have no one else to go to about this :/
please tell your coach that it hurts when you run ok. And find an adult you respect---teacher--family member--counselor etc to help you with this. Now is best. BUT SOON---like tomorrow morning! School nurse??? And post back we are here because we really do care. omhome
Try looking up costochondritis- it can happen to females and can hurt to breathe with it.
It would also be a good idea to have a test called an EGD from a gastroenterologist. They give you medicine so you are out of it and put a thin tube down and look at your esophagus, your stomach and the first part of your small intestine. They can look for things like gastritis (inflammation of your stomach lining), hiatal hernia (large ones can cause symptoms), etc.. If you had anything as serious as cancer, the sooner it were to be discovered, typically the great possibility of successful treatment, so don't be afraid to see a doctor as soon as possible about your symptoms.
