the only reason i had to change doctors was because of insurance reasons and no transportation, i wasnt abusing the prescriptions, i was just taking an old prescription that was expired, i did go to the appointment and explained everything to the dr, and was honest about it all and he was very understanding. i did sign a contract which i expected and will follow, i am glad to get the help and now hopefully can start physical therapy and get back on track! thank you for your concern. I also brought in all my paperwork from the doctors i seen and from my surgeries as well,I also declined a pain patch as i felt it would be too much for me.i am not seeking anything like that,I just want to get back on track with a good doctor, and i did

I'm not sure what your concerns is/are. Are you worried about taking a urine test? How do you approach an old prescription? You need to be more specific in order for me to try and help you. I'll be looking for a new post, or something new on this one.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!

I am not sure why you have been changing doctors—because of abusing drugs? If this is the case then the new doctor will be very cautious. Yes, you will need to undergo a urine test. If your doctor suspects chronic abuse then though costly, may opt for a hair test too, which remains positive for months. However, usually urine tests are done which can remain positive for up to a week. Also, you need to sign an agreement with the pain doctor and follow all regulations. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
