thanks for this info  when i get a few more minutes i will do some research on the pump.  I';ve already been through the trial of the nuero implant by medtronics and for me it was a nightmare.  the first trial did not work at all so he went back in and repositioned the leads and it still didn't work for me. not only that but the unit was cumbersome having those leads coming out of my spine, out my back, sewed and then taped to my skin one thousand and one times by some sort of recycled plastic tape that must have taken 2 billion pounds of strength,  and the battery box attached to the leads on the outside with about 2 feet of leads dangling all being held up and supported around my lower spine by a huge 8 inch back brace. for the inital time of 7 days then after the reposition another 5 days, it was terrible and it wasn't something I was suppose to be doing a lot of bending with either.  All I can say is that I tried it and it didn't work for me, I was hopeing it would and that maybe i could get off of at least some of these narcotics if the thing worked, they say it does work in 70%of the people.  Then came the removal of the unit.  what a nightmare that was. The ripping off of that tape some of which had been on there for 12 days, then the stitches holding the leads in, with no topical, the nurse just started yanking them out and finding out that some of them had grown to my skin after the 12 days.- ----OUCH  but even though i was crying (yes me who takes mass amount of opiates for chronic pain) I was just so glad to get that contraption off of me.  I felt like something out of sci-fi movie, an alien or borg  had attached itself to me and was taking over my body., it was over I thought. but, after  about 3 days I developed a terrible headache.  Nothing was taking the pain away unless I layed flat.  The doctor determned that I was leaking spinal fluid either from the repositioning of the leads or the removal,  so for the following three days my headache was treated, by doctors order, with large amount of clear caffienated beverages and laying flat.  It finally went away but it took days of continuing high amounts of caffiene and alot of time in bed, just flat. and not much sleep because of the caffiene. then I would only have them off and on for another week or so,then caffiene and lay flat, etc... now they are totally gone.but what a nightmare that implant was so you can see why  one of the reasons i hesitate to do a trial for a medtronic pump right away. I will give that some time and do some reading on the pump.  buy for any one that's anticipating doing a trial with the neuro implant I would be happy to share more info with you about it,. what it felt like or anything else you might want to know.  just send me a comment
