My pain level today is 8. My BP is through the roof - a serious concern, and being monitored hourly. There's a hurricane on the horizon, the barometric pressure dropped dramatically, and the position in which I must physically be is almost comical.
Almost.
If it hits 9 - I equate that level to post-op recovery room pain - I won't be able to move, and I start to cry, making these guttural sounds that surprise me still - after 15 years. There will be nothing but my overly (already) concerned german shepherd looking at me with his face 3 inches away from my own. My best friend has been coming to take him out since yesterday, and offer me food; I do not know what I would do without her.
And I hate portable potty chairs like the one sitting inches away...but I despise depends.
So, all that said, this forum allows me to understand I am not alone, and that feeling means everything right now.
Maybe tomorrow will be a 7. Hey...maybe a 6!!!
One can only hope.
I think several of us didn't understand where this poll was, or even that there was a new forum called Chronic Back Pain Sufferers and Pain Management Community. JMHO
If my pain level was at an 8 you wouldn't find me posting anything on the computer that's for sure! I think it's terrible that your pain's at an 8, and if it's commonly like that then you should see your doctor about changing things. A pain level of 8 on a regular basis isn't fair in this day and age. TO EVERYONE--THE PAIN LEVEL POLL IS NOT ON THIS COMMUNITY, IT'S ON A DIFFERENT ONE. IT'S FUNNY THAT THERE'S INTEREST IN IT AT THIS POINT!

My chronic pain level between 1 & 10 is 8 today. Isn't that lovely?
I wasn't sure what you meant. What question should we answer? I'll participate. 8-)
