The best pain medication to take with any type of liver problem is Vicprofin, which is hydrocodone with motrin (vicodin without the liver damaging tylenol) It is medically safe to use while avoiding any damage to the liver... Correct spelling is "vicoprofen".
If the Hydrocodone/ibu 7.5/200 is not enough there are also compounds that contain a higher mixture of Hydrocodone but do retain the ibu. in there.

It is also VERY important to be followed by a doctor on a regular basis when on meds ( and I dont mean every six months).
Any narcotic pain meds require people being followed to make sure they are ok, have been prescribed the right thing and are not having serious side effects.
