Hi XscottyX,
First, I want to welcome you to the PM (Pain Management) Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues.
Wow, this isn't the time that you needed this injury to happen, was it? I'm so sorry that you did this to your leg!
You need to get to a Doctor ASAP and check out exactly where you stand (no pun intended :))!! There's no way that any of us can even begin to guess what is wrong with your leg or what you have done, short of bruising it. There could be something more serious and you need to get the answers quickly, since you have a "fight" coming up in a week.
You will need to do whatever the Doctor recommends so that you won't further injure your leg and make it even more difficult for your injury to heal.
Please let us know what you find out. I'm very sorry that you had this happen to you!!
I'm sending you Good Thoughts and will be looking for your updates.........Sherry :)
Hi Scotty,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your injury.
If you are having pain when participating in your sport, or even practicing it's important to rest the area. Please don't do anything that brings on the intense pain. If it is a serious injury you may injure even more.... if it's a nasty strain or sprain you are further traumatizing the area.
It's impossible to know what you may have injured so it's important that you consult your PCP. That's probably not what you wanted to hear. :o) When you call to make the appointment make sure you give details about the severity of the pain. They should be able to get you in sooner then later. In the meantime rest that area. Treat it as an injury..... regardless if it looks perfectly normal to you or not. I would hate for you to turn a minor injury into a major one because you did not take proper care of it. .... Or over did.
I hope you'll let us know how your appointment turns out. I'll be interested to learn what your PCP has to say about your injury. I wish you the best and will look forward to hearing from you.
Take Care,
~Tuck
