We just had that tropical storm pass by yesterday.  The low pressure and humidity drive me NUTS.  The deep down pain is SO nagging and unrelenting!  I'm not sure if it's the change in weather or the change in meds, though.  We will see.  We have had regular temps here of 90-100 and humidity near the same.  It usually rains in the noon to afternoon and they say it's a hot summer this year.  Like every summer in Florida isn't hot? haha
The AC and computer have been my best friends.  If only I had a personal shopper, chef, and maid.  I think I could make room in my heart for those friends, too.  :)
I hope you all have a great weekend!

I remember when I lived in Houston and it would rain in the summer, it was the worst! As soon as I would open the front door I was cover in sweat and couldn't breath. You have this constant layer of sticky sweat on you. Ugh. Even when I lived in Oklahoma they had that but nothing like Houston.

It's probably in the high 70's here in San Diego. Summer really hasn't started out here yet, really weird. It's normally in high 90's low 100's this time of year. But it's been more like Seattle weather so far. Foggy all day and lucky to see the sun. I love it. I wish it was like this all the time.

What is it that song says about the heat in Texas, Jaybay?  I'd walk all of Hel* or 1/2 of Texas?  I must say it's a scorcher.  And somebody sent us a bunch of humidity to boot!!  Who needs a sauna  Just come sit by my pool and when you've had enough of the "sauna" you can jump in the "hot tub".  ie the pool.  We don't have a real hot tub.  A couple of summers ago, my engineer husband calculated how much ice we'd need to cool it down!  Some people were ordering huge blocks of ice to cool down their pools.   And we have trees around ours!!  It only gets full sun on it for just a while midday.

Come on down Folks!!

Mollyrae, I'm with RunningMom, I'm SOOO glad that you made it safely back home!!  That must have been very frightening for you.  Glad you are safe, my Friend!! I'm so sorry that all of my MH Friends have gotten hit so hard by ALL of the STRONG weather that has hit your state the past few weeks.  Keeping you all in my Prayers that EVERYTHING will S L O W  down (weather wise) for you all!!

By the way, we just went thru a couple of weeks with the temps hovering ABOVE and below the 110 degree mark, the LAT Electric bill topped $500.00!! Of course in the winter time it evens out as you don't need heat OR air. PERFECT weather!!

Jaybay, I've VERY glad that you had the water bottles!!  It IS beautiful out here, so VERY different from the other parts of the country.  I'm with you about settling ANYWHERE from Texas to AZ BEFORE A/C would be Suicidal!! Can't EVEN imagine it.

Be safe, Dear Friends.....Sherry

Molly, I heard those thunderstorms last night.  They were pretty bad.  I'm so glad you made it safely home.  I couldn't imagine being stuck in such severe weather.

Great weekend to you as well. I'm in Wisconsin and we have had a round of bad weather. Many thunderstorms and tornadoes. I was caught up in the worst storm driving back from our summer home in Northern Wisc. I almost started crying on the way back. I have NEVER been in a storm that bad while driving. My car almost stalled out three times because of the amount of water on the roads. This went on for a good 70 miles. The storm was spread out from North to South and heading East. This was the path for me to get home as well. When I left Red Granite, it was 62 degrees and by the time I got home, it was 89 degrees. This was the reason for the bad storm.

Our Humidity has been awful. My Central Air has been going non-stop. I hate the thought of my next electric bill. OUCH.

My best,
Mollyrae

Hey jay!  Sounds like NJ got transferred to Houston.  We've had so much rain lately that the humidity is ridiculous.  It slaps you upside the head the minute you step outside and not a puff of breeze to even move it around.  Move faster than a slow shuffle and you're drenched in 5 minutes.  This kind of humidity hangs around in the winter too.  While we don't usually get below freezing, even 45 degrees with high humidity chills me to the bone.  The only way I can warm up is to soak in a tub with the water up to my nose.  LOL!  I've often wondered who had the bright idea that SE TX was a good place to settle - BEFORE air conditioning?!

Sherry - DH and I rode Route 66 several years ago on the Harley.  We LOVED riding through Arizona!  I had to keep a water bottle handy and kept dousing myself while we were on the road.  LOL!  That dry heat really didn't bother me as long as I stay hydrated, and the nights were wonderfully cool.  You're so lucky to live in the Southwest.  I love the climate and the culture and the environment and everything about it.

Hi Jayman,

Here in the AZ area it's supposed to be BELOW average here today at ONLY 104. Very excited for a COOL day.  Yesterday it was ONLY 100 but before that it's been averaging between 109 to 114.  You GOTTA love the Desert!! However, there is almost NO humidity. We've been having some storms (It's the MONSOON Season here) and the HIGH Humidity has been around  - 32% - I laugh EVERY TIME the weatherman talks about the HIGH Humidity. I'm originally from OK, where like you all Humidity in the 90% range is COMMON!!

Jayman920 and Melissa, PLEASE have a WONDERFUL (Cool, if possible) Day!!!

Wishing you the best.....Sherry

It's very hot and humid here as well.  I doubt it will get up to 100 here today, but it sure feels like it with the humidity.  It's very hard to breathe outside.  I'm so grateful for the central air. :o)
