Pain on my right side.

Pain on my right side.? Im female 15 and have started puberty already if that makes a difference. I have pain in my lower right side right where my leg hits my abdomen. I know its not a appendicitis because ive had this problem for too long. It really hurts especially when my bladder is full and only hurts more when i pee. Sometimes it hurts so much that i just have to curl up and sleep it off. I went in a long time ago and got a ultrasound but they didn't find anything. I have ignored it so far but it only gotten worse this summer- from hurting once or twice a month to hurting 2-5 days a week- and im tired of being in this pain. Can you help me?

I agree to go to a OB and get rechecked. You should have another ultrasound to see if anything is found this time. you are to young to have to be worring about being in pain all the time, you should be enjoying your teens!!
Until you get into see a dr I would ask your parents what you can take for the pain over the counter stuff might work for your pain and like Jay said a heating pad might help also. I know when I am cramping really bad it does help.
Does your parents know your still dealing with this pain?

My sister had endometriosis and the worst of it was on her bladder.  She had the same symptoms.

Did you have a trans-vaginal ultrasound or the kind where they just roll the wand on your abdomen?  The trans-vag is better at seeing ovarian cysts, but if you have endo that's more difficult to diagnose.  It just doesn't show up on imaging studies.  Laparascopic surgery serves as both a diagnostic tool and treatment.  After surgery most docs recommend injections of something like lupron for 6 months to shut down the production of estrogen.  That means you've just been thrown into menopause and the side effects can be really rough.  I made it through 2 monthly injections and quit due to the severe hot flashes, mood swings, and generally crazy thoughts running through my head.  It took another 5 months or so after the last shot for those effects to go away completely.

Meanwhile, a heating pad on your abdomen can calm things down a bit. Use it no more than 20 minutes at a time and wait about 45 minutes to an hour in between.  That's mostly so you don't irritate your skin.

You really need to go back to your gynecologist.  Since your last ultrasound was a long time ago, something may have changed by now.  Too many people stop investigating a medical problem when the first test comes back normal.  It's up to we patients to keep the conversation going with our doctors otherwise we'll never get anywhere.  Now go pick up that phone and call!  :-)

I'm wondering if you have a cyst on your ovary.  Teens and women do get cysts on their ovaries and they can hurt very bad.  It can make you feel like someone is stabbing you in your side and down your leg.  Have you been to an OBGYN. You really should start there and see if they can find out what's going on. There's also something called endometriosis that they can test for, also see if you have some sort of urinary infection and a lot of other things they can test for.

Welcome to the board!  Can you get someone to take you to an obgyn, or maybe a planned parenthood somewhere in your area.  That would be my recognition so they can examine you and find out what's going on to get your pain under control.  At 15 it just isn't fair that you should experience this much pain a couple of times a month, that's why I thought of an ovarian cyst.  I used to get those a lot and I remember them hurting, and being curled up.  Also, try a heating pad on your area, it could possibly soothe your side where it hurts.  Have you taken any over the counter medication?  Please get checked out and let us know what the doctor says.  We aren't doctors here but we all deal with chronic pain, and most of us on this board are women so hopefully you'll get a lot of responses later today.  Good luck.
