It has a very long half life, though I can't give you specifics.  The dose and how long you were on it does factor in.  Your doctor should be able to help you with your questions on this.

I do understand. I took it originally for addiction, but found it helped my pain most of the time so the doctor kept me on it for pain management. I'm only asking because I'm hoping to get into a clinical trial and may need to have it out of my system before I begin the trial meds. Thanks anyway.
