Hi brandyvandike,
MedHelp has an excellent feature to look up pain management doctors in your area.
Try that or goggle it and call around and speak to the nurse and explain your situation and ask her if the doctor would be able to help you.
Does anyone in the Philadelphia area know of a good pain management doctor? I am being treated for carpal tunnel an tenninitis and am looking for a doc to help me manage my pain.
Hi Skpskp,
I am glad you found us at the Pain Management Forum of MedHelp, welcome. If you are just post-op I am sure you must have some nasty pain. I am sorry for that.
Mollyrae is correct. Most physicians prescribe them to be taken at the same time, or close to the same time. Certainly you could call the pharmacist that filled the prescription and ask if there were instructions contraindicating using them together or you physician. My PCP has prescribed them to be taken together but that of course is not your physician.
A bit of caution they poteniate one another and will cause more drowsiness than if you were taking one or the other. I'm sure they warned against driving or operating machinery, etc. hey may very well make you sleepy. And if your just post-op a little sleep is probably good for your healing.
Take care and good luck in your post-op recovery. Please let us know how you are doing or if you have any additional questions. Tuck
Hello. Welcome to MH. The answer to your question is yes but take the medication as prescribed by your Physician. Do not take more than prescribed by them and follow the Doctors orders on how to take the meds.
Take care and good luck,
Mollyrae
