Severe Esphogeal dismotility with extreme pain

I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in December 2008 and am now suffering from severe esphogheal dismotility (nutcracker esophagus). I am in extreme pain and am having pronlems keeping food down (nausea, vomiting, pain). I am taking some meds for this but they only work moderately. I am looking for others who suffer from the same condition and can offer suggestions, help, ideas, specialist who can help me?

Hello Parae,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your painful issues.

I do not have esophageal dysmotility. I have other issues such has a hiatal hernia GERD and esophageal spasms. Possibly one of our members may have some first hand experience with this condition.

Have you tried posting in the Gastroenterology Forum?  We you may find more information in that forum. Please know that you are always welcome here I am just suggesting that you post there also.

Best of luck to you. I hope you are being treated for pain and managed well. Please feel free to share your pain management issues with us. We are here to support you the best we can.

Take Care,
Tuck
