pain medication

I go to a pain management dr and I am on Lortabs. I recently had to have a lump removed from my breast and after the surgery the nurse called in a script and my husband picked it up. It was lortab. I didn't think about it at the time and now concerned that I have violated my contract with my PM. I have not taken any of it and plan on telling my PM when I got to him in a week.Do you think they will continue to see me?

Take the full presciption with you and explain the situation. Afterall you were just out of surgery and we don't always make the best decisions at such a stressful time. He can adjust the number of pills to include the script you got and so I am sure he will understand under the circumstances. I truly hope so.

Thanks for your advice. I will call him tomorrow, My doctor I have to say is very caring so I hope he will understand. My primary doctor had raised my meds and emailed him and he was fine with that.

Thanks again. I am feeling better from my surgery

Now days, he'll probably kick you to the street.  I believe the contracts say that ALL pain meds come through him.  Period.  The fact that you haven't taken any MAY help.

I'd call him ASAP and also have a coversation with your surgeon and let him know the trouble that might be coming.

These guys...PMs are heartless

PS I'm sorry about your surgery, and may you enjoy a complete recovery...
