throbbing low back and outter hip pain

i was diagnosed w mild herniated discs in Lumbar region, Last few monts i have a pain in both outside hips, is throbbing, aching pain. my dr. did steroid injection that did not work. the pain is even worse now. My Pcp says mabye its IT syndrome but i have had pain for months now it is unbearable i can sleep on either side of my hips, i always stretch and never push my body but i do exercise regularly, i dont know what to do, any suggestions??

I also agree with shinty, ask for some tests to be done, once you have a diagnosis, your doctor will be able to treat you with better results. good luck to you.

I agree with shinty. Get a second opinion and make sure you get a mri or ct scan to see what the problem is. Best wishes, Sissie

Go back to your PCP and let him/her know that your still in pain. Maybe it's time to refer you to a specialist, if the doctor can't or won't find out what's wrong with you. I would personally ask for an MRI. It might help to diagnose your problem. good luck,
