woke up with excruciating pain in hip andbknee
Ok so I slept on my left side last night and woke up with excruciating pain from my left hip shooting down to my knee down my leg tho my ankle. No back pain , No injury and I already take pain meds for cervical stenosis in my neck (have 3 bulging vertebra) also my last three fingers are numb b and tingling on my left hand. Laying down makes it worse. I can only sit or stand and need to alternate when the pain comes back with a vengeance! HELP ANY IDEAS? The pain throbs and increases on and off..but never fully resides. DO I NEED TO GO TO ER? WHAT COULD IT BE? This is the first time this ever happened to me..Any advice appreciated! Thanks!
Thanks so much it eventually eased up during that day but I still get some shooting pains here n there will b seeing doc this week!

People with cervical spine disease often have lumbar spine disease that goes unnoticed because cervical pain masks the lumbar pain. When cervical pain is reduced, the low back pain comes on like wildfire.
I hope the pain is reduced by now, but see your spine/pain doctor for examination and diagnosis.
