Good deal, glad to hear that you're such a good communicator with everyone on your healthcare team. Please let me know how everything is going!
Thanks for explaining a little about what FNH is. one less thing to worry about! My rib fracture was found at diagnosis, It iwas more a lytic fracture and I did two years of bone building IV meds so I think it went away. I do feel pain in old areas where I was known to have lytic lesions, and I understand this is normal even if MM is not active.
I am in a watchful waiting phase (complete response from my stem cell transplant) but any little thing is investigated. thanks for your concern I let my doctors know about knew pains.
Hi there,
Thank you for the question. I'm happy to hear that your MM is stable, that's wonderful news. FNH is generally accepted to be a regenerative response due to a lack of perfusion of blood to the affected area of the liver. This is a benign finding and not cancer. With your history of MM I personally would get any new pain checked out though, especially if there is a chance that it may be skeletal in nature. When was the rib fracture? Are your doctors aware of the pain? I hope this information helps.
Best,
John
