Bald spot on 7 yr old daughter

Daughter had VERY tight updo we got at Disney. It was in for nearly a week. After taking it down and washing hair we noticed a smooth bald spot about size of nickel on top of head. It's been  at least 8 weeks and there is no hair growth. Will it grow back? Can I put anything on it to get hair to grow?

Yes I would especially if in a place where it shows .,otherwise you could leave it and see if it does in fact grow back ,I have just yahooed and it states 'it should'nt be used on children so thats that answered.

Thank you for the advice. My mom suggested Rogaine, too, but not sure about putting it on a child. I read somewhere it could take 6 months to start growing. Guess I should take her to pediatrician or dermatologist.

It must have been tight to do that , I am not certain if Rogaine can be used on children it may be best to ask the Doctor , I would think it will grow its just taking time ,best to ask advice ..good luck
