My son's bone age is 15, chronological age 13, is still growing quite a bit.

Hi,
My son was born with a chromosome defiency of some sort. The right side of his body was larger than his left. This included his tongue and he had to have speech therapy for years and still has a lisp and has difficulty swallowing pills. He had some surgery when he was only 2 and the anethesist said intubating him was tricky because of the size of his tongue on one side. He was being followed by a pediatric orthopedic surgeon from age 4 unti last year when he was only 13yrs old. Last April was his last visit and he was 5'9. He had x-rays done on his hand which showed his bone age to be 15yrs, a good two years older than his chronological age. He soon turned 14 in June 2010 and we were reassured he wouldn't grow much more as he had alot of hair growth on his legs and he felt he was reaching puberty quickly. Since last April he has grown 5 inches and is now 6'2 and won't turn 15 for another 4 mos.  His body is quite defined and his muscles pronounced. He is very strong for his age and is in superb physical condition. He eats every 2 hours and eats enough to fill 3 grown men. It certainly doesn't seem that he has stopped growing. Will he grow much more? Does having a bone age 2 yrs advanced mean he will grow more? His hands are quite large and much bigger than his Dad who is 6'1. Just wondering if we should take him back to see this specialist.

Thankyou...
Rose
