Lupus symptoms in my 4 year old

My 4 year old daughter has a severe butterfly rash on her face. This has come and gone for 6 months (lasting only about 3 days then gone for 1-2 weeks) In the seventh month it became permanent. (up until then we thought it was reoccuring fifths) Now she has muscle weakness, she cant walk up or down stairs and now cant even climb on a couch. It is not in her joints but in her thigh and calf muscles. She also has mild bumps on her elbows, hands and knees. (small pimple type ones)

Her skin also now has a pink/purplish tone to it. I noticed this the other day and thought I was imagining it. But when I compared her to her sister I realized her skin had changed colour. (she is an identical twin) None of the bumps or itchy. And besides being lethargic she is in good spirits.

She has tested negative for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. We are seeing a rheumatologist next week but our the doctors so far are at a loss.

Anyone ever hear of anything like this?

Would love some input please. We are getting desperate for help!

Have you searched the web for Malar Rash?  That's a different name for butterfly rash,  and seems to lead you to more diagnostic websites.

I wouldn't rule out neurological disorders just because she is on target mentally.  The more you look and look through the symptoms,  this could be so many things.

Best wishes.

Also we are sure its not neurological. Mentally she is doing fine. She can write her name and other words. She is learning to read and can do simple math like 5+5. Also her reflexes are fine as well, if something falls she can usually catch it if shes not tired. And she is not sleeping more than normal. Just needs to lay down a lot
