MTHFR and Factor V Leiden - juvenile migraines

I have been diagnosis ed with Factor V Leiden, my 6yr old son has MTHFR  C677T and A1298C.......my youngest son (4 yrs) has just been put on medication for migraines.  I saw an article online about the connection between these mutations and juvenile migraines....can you tell me if I need to let the neurologist know and what if any is there a risk if he does share a combo of these conditions? Seeking thoughts and advice

Hello ,
I have the mthfr mutation. I was in my 20th week of pregnancy.
I was put on lovenox and heparin until 36 weeks. I delivered  a healthy beautiful baby girl. She is now 20 months old. My recent concern is should I have her tested for the mutation.

All doctors should be told of any/all conditions, especially the clotting disorders.  You may not THINK it applies, but sometimes it is the final piece of the puzzle.  My mom had migraines as a child and again after menopause and I've recently been diagnosed as having them--not long before I was dx with MTHFR and Factor V Leiden clotting disorders (I'm 40).  I've been debating whether to have my kids tested for the disorders as well.
