Good for your best friend.  Talk to a doctor about that great idea.

Too early to mix in the cereals.  The stomach is not ready to digest them, they waste space with empty calories, and the baby might aspirate them into his lungs and get pneumonia.

Try a different formula.  Whole milk is not enough and it's not appropriate.  Talk to the doctor, the sooner the better, about all of this.  Try also an infant probiotic, it might help with the stomach's ability to hold formula down.

Well i would not recomend given him whole milk unless okayed by a doctor.. he can have sever implications on his digestive system.. try mixen baby ceral like oatmeal or rie ceral in his milk it may taste better. for him.. my best friend did this for her soon but he didnt like it and i was always the one feeding him and always the one to accept the product that came up in the end.. but try this. or you may have to switch formula. that may do the trick.
