NO, they have no clue! They have ruled out ovarian cysts and cancer and shes too young for ectopic pregnancy (thankfully!) . Im waiting now for them to do either a CT scan or a colonoscopy. They just keep telling me its nothing to worry about ! Shes in permanent pain , she cries herself to sleep most nights and as a family its tearing us apart with worry. It gets worse after food. She has had constipation but the last x ray showed that had gone but the pain goes on. Theyve suggested IBS and IBD but say the only pain relief available is paracetomol and ibuprofen which doesnt touch at all.
I see this so much its as if Doctors are no longer able to diagnose symptoms of sickness they are faced with, all I can suggest is that you find another gastrologist and get new answers and keep going until you do .So she has normal bowel movements now ?
No, she hovers between constipation and diarrhoea. Im wondering whether it could be leaky gut? Thinking of trying the Special Carbohydrate Diet to see if that helps her. Any observations on this would be good. Thanks for your responses margypops x
It cant hurt to try ...did you find the details of the diet online , let us know if it works , will be interesting for others to know the outcome .
