Fecal Urgency?

Hi!  I am new here and so glad to have found you all!  I have: Cystocele, Enterocele and Rectocele.  My biggest issue right now is bowel urgency, so humiliating!  It is getting worse as I age even though I have always had bowel urgency since I was a child along with IBS.  I am seeing a doctor at Hershey medical who is sending me for 2 tests and then 12 weeks of physical therapy to strengthen my muscles down there and then after that we will talk about surgery IF necessary.
I would much rather have urine urgency to be honest...but we don't get to pick, do we?  Any tips for me would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance!

Hi there.
So sorry you are having bowel urgency.   You seem tohave it covered regarding having tests and considering surgery...  I take it you are seeing a Urogynecologist for your prolapses?
Have you looked at the Fodmaps diet?   I was always told I had IBS and tried this diet which is only for a few weeks and then you can re introduce foods.   It can help with bloating and gas.   The bloating was pushing on my POPS big time and creating problems for me with BMs.   I have far less gas and bloating now.
Most dietitans know about this diet now and you can look on line to see what you think of it as well.
I wish you well with your tests
