Is it possible for gas to get trapped in joints?

Hi my boyfriend has been having very strange symptoms. He get gases that seem to get trapped in his joints an under his skin and in his muscles. While massaging the area in pain he will begin to belch sometimes the gas he bélches is exiting in a very violent way. The gas might be in the foot ankle are elbow wrist or trapped in his ribs or spin÷. He has tried diet changes and exercising ECT... The gas leaves him so sore. Also Appling a heat pad seems to help. What is going on in his body? The gas moves like a alien inside him.
