I wouldn't think so with her age, weight, and her overall history. Was she cold? Did this happen during an episode of tachycardia? My daughter is having the same symptoms (not the toes turning purple, however, tachycardia, high blood pressure, 130lbs, athletic, 16 year old. Her blood pressure averages 130-150-'s / 85-105....which I find high for a thin 16 year old with no other history that would cause hypertension. I have also researched all of her medications (which she has been on the same ones for a while and none have a side effect of hypertension and none interact with each other.) Its a mystery...along with her other issues which started 2 years ago.
