The product is not used to train a cat not to spray, it helps with the causes of spraying. In many cases, the pheromone helps with anxiety and so it may ease your cat's stress. You use it inside the house, in the areas where your cat spends the most time. It will not cure the problem, but I thought it might help some.
Ok great I did find it via the link supplied.(thank you Thomas)
However this is training a cat not to spray in the house I'm sorry but I don't know how this helps with biting aggression? Unless you mean I should spray it outdoors to prevent strays from spraying in my yard? That seems like a very fruitless effort to me.
How are you advising I use this?

Feliway is a pheromone product. I don't know if it is available in Canada.
first of all thx so much for the reply..sadly most all of the suggestions have already been inplace, I would never keep him from his outdoors as this is what he looks forward to each day and knows the times even, he so loves it out there, it would be cruel not to allow him...and I couldn't do that even if I should risk a bite.
The behavioral specialist is also out of the question, I am on a small pension and live hundreds of miles from one..(would love to try this tho)
Can I ask what is feliway? I'm in Canada is it avail here?
again thx
It is great that you are committed to this cat and have taken care of his dental problems and addressed his behavioral problems. You may need to find a veterinary behavioral specialist in your area to have an exam and consultation. This sounds like a complicated problem that has been going on a while and it would help to have a specialist work through this with you.
There are some things I think you could try without causing further problems but it may not solve your problem. If he becomes upset being outdoors, it would probably be best to keep him inside. Make sure he has lots of toys that you rotate to keep them interesting and hiding and perching places. If you haven’t tried a Feliway diffuser that might help. Watch him closely as there are a small number of cats who react adversely to the Feliway. Start a regular play time a couple of times of day so that he is active and stimulated mentally and gets into a routine.
Only cuddle him or pet him for short periods stopping before any sign of agitation. Praise him and reward him with treats when he is calm and affectionate. Place him into a room by himself when you have visitors so that he does not bite anyone. Also make sure his vaccines are up to date, especially the rabies vaccine.
There are other medications that can be tried. It would be best to work with a behavioral specialist so that you can modify the behavior while on the meds.
I hope this works out for you and your kitty can keep his home.
