40 weeks pregnant Sunday no discharge.

I am going to be turning 40 weeks on Sunday and I have been feeling my daughter move regularly, but I am having little to no discharge. I also have not been feeling the movements low in my stomach but more above my belly button. I am not sure if I have lost my mucus plug and my Doctor told me that she has in fact dropped. I am having non stop gas (TMI sorry) and plenty of bathroom breaks if you know what I mean. It just feels like she is never going to come out AGH!!! I think I have been feeling Braxton hicks contractions but I have never going threw this so I honestly do not know what they are going to feel like except like period cramps and well sense i hit puberty they really never hurt so see im lost on this one. When will I go into labor? What is it going to feel like when it starts? What are signs and warnings that hey you are going into labor soon or now????

I found the plug idea to be unlike I had expected.  I pictured an actual plug, lol.  No, I had some discharge on and off that was a big 'gooey' (sorry, tmi).  My last few days, I just felt a lot of pressure and had trouble walking because of it.  I also began having lots of bathroom trips with number 2.  My doctor said that this is normal as the body tries to clear that out right before labor.   Those were my major signs.  Then out of nowhere, I had contractions.  I had no back pain or belly pain before that, just the pressure in my vagina.  But the good news, once contractions start, you usually have plenty of time.  Mine started at midnight and we didn't go to the hospital until the next day as I waited for them to get to five minutes apart.  Every woman is different though.  Here is a really helpful article:  http://www.medhelp.org/pregnancy-health/articles/All-About-Labor/2210
Good luck and you are so close.  Very exciting!!

Do lot's of sqwating. I wwashed my kitchen floor the day before both my girls were born.
Labour normally starts with pain in the lower back and a dull ache in tummy and then gets more intense with tighting across the belly getting more and more painful. Good luck!

I went in to labor with both of my boys at 41 weeks. I started getting Braxton hicks 1 or 2 days before I went into labor. I lost my mucus plug wed night, had baby friday. I thought my water broke but turns out when I got out of bed to wipe my plug came out and the bed was wet from the juices.. lol. Braxton hicks feels like minor electrocution, your stomach gets super tight! You can also feel it tightening with your hands. I felt period like cramps and had diarrhea as labor begun. Hope this helps!! And Congratulations!!
