First talk to your Dr. Don't let people make you feel terrible ESPECIALLY because they don't understand your struggle and clearly don't understand addiction. Googling pictures isn't going to help you stop drinking and will probably just make things worse. Your Dr will be able to get you the help you need and most likely advise you to join peer groups and groups like AA, also alcohol addiction is sometimes difficult to overcome without medication so its best to talk to your physician to develop a treatment plan that suits your needs and the babies. I wish you the beat of luck and just know that there are people on here who understand your situation that you can talk to judgment free if you need it.

Check into a residential treatment program depending on how bad you are you may need to be monitored coming off the alcohol and they can also give you tons of knowledge so you can stay clean there is also aa but you have to make a commitment to change for yourself there are tons of recourses out there please seek some out if you honestly want help stopping

To be honest, you may have already done irreparable damage to your baby especially since there is so much development going on in the first trimester... fetal alcohol system is a serious disease that causes serious developmental delays and drinking while pregnant could cause late term miscarriage, low birth weight, other severe birth defects, or stillbirths. You need to get, like 10 weeks ago.

I'm going to start off by saying, to anyone thinking that being rude or throwing the baby into the equation is going to suddenly stop things, you're wrong. Now, I'm going to tell you this and be completely 100% honest. One story is a personal experience and the other is one of a friend I personally witnessed.
When I was 19 I thought I was in love with a guy, I got pregnant and thought all my troubles would go away and everything would be perfect with my new baby. My fallback was my drinking and drug use, thr first two months I didnt know I was pregnant (I had just came off birth control and thought it would take a while to even my periods out) well even after i found out it was hard to adjust and change a lifestyle I had been living for so long. I drank a few times a week, I smoked marijuana and took pain killers often. Long story short I lost my baby boy at 20 weeks and blamed myself ever since.
The other story is one of a very close friend of mine, she had no clue she was pregnant until she was 6 months (she was on the pill and was overweight prior to getting pregnant). She drank every weekend with her fiancee, a few during the week as well. She stopped when she did find out but she was already so worried about dojng damage. But they couldnt do anything but wait.
A few months later she gave birth to a healthy baby boy with zero health issues.
Now knowing these two stories you are the one to decide on what to do with your life and that babys life. I thought I would never stop doing what I was and have the family I wanted but I was wrong, I got clean, got married and now have a baby on the way again.
You can beat that awful disease if you really want too, that is entirely up to you though,  nobody else but you.
I wish you the best and hope for the good health of you and your gift from God.

God bless

desi35, you have to get some help.  Your addiction can cause your baby unnecessary,  life-long ramifications. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is vastly detrimental to a developing fetus. Your baby deserves the opportunity to a healthy, normal life, and FAS would rob him/her of that opportunity. I have a lot of empathy for you because although I don't have an addiction, I know that it must be a difficult demon to defeat.  Just think, years to come, you don't want to see your child struggling through school, society, and life as a whole, knowing that you caused it.  God be with you, and that PRECIOUS, INNOCENT little life growing inside of you.

You are brave for seeking help. Call a helpline and talk with your OB. Research info and pics on the effects of FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME-hopefully it will give you a wake up call. 7 months of drinking isn't worth a lifetime of disabilities. Good luck
