45 and TTC

I am 45 years. I have a toddler who is 3 and a half years old.  I still get a normal cycle every month but have not succeeded in a second baby.  I think I am past having another baby but I would like a boy.  I don't know how far I can go trying because every year I will be older and my chances will be less.  I can trust in God but my body has to be able to conceive.  Hoping for baby dust soon ladies.  Good luck to all TTC.God bless. Do you think I still have a chance?

Still no babydust and my period was late about six days. Should I see a fertility doctor. Am 45 years old with a toddler who is 3 years old and eight months. I conceived at March 2009 and was 41 and 42 by the time I had my daughter. Thanks.

When the fertilized embryo tries to implant in the uterine lining.  Sometimes there is some bleeding involved,  brownish in color.  It's also light bleeding.  This usually occurs up to 14 days after ovulation.  Once this occurs,  HCG is produced triggering a bfp.  Gl.

Sounds more like a result of implantation.

Cross your fingers and keep trying!:)  It could happen.  I will be 27 wks tomorrow and I'm 45.  Took longer this time (19 mths) but finally worked.  Had 1st at 39 and 2nd at 43.  I would agree that since you've had a baby in your 40's you're more likely to be successful.  Best of luck!  SSBD!

I've been on these boards for awhile now.  I've seen a few around 45 and 46 have successful pregnancies.  I don't think I've one at 47.  Some conceptions up to 49 but all ending in miscarriage.   I think you have the right attitude.  All you can do is leave it in gods hands.  It's still possible for you but may be a lot harder than when you were younger.  Being that you had a successful pregnancy only three years ago is a good sign.   All you can do is take care of yourself.  Also,  a lot get pregnant after giving up.  Gl.
