6.5 weeks Empty Sac

I should be 6.5 weeks this week  but the last sono was a empty sac , I am going back Monday for another but if its the same My Dr has Suggested we schedule a DNC :(  My HCG levels are still rising first check was 2200 and this Monday was 6900 so he said we should see more than a empty sac.  I am 35 with two beautiful healthy girls and this was a unexpected pregnancy but I started to get excited just to soon. Im wondering if at my age how hard it will be to conceive after the dnc and the likelhood of a repeat issue.  Anyone been through anything similiar ?

Having a miscarriage is difficult to go through (I've had two).  On the bright side, you were blessed with two beautiful children!  I hope you have a fast recovery!

Wow I am so very sorry.. There are a few things to be thankful for. Your beautiful girls you have and your for the most part ok AND HERE. tubals can be bad:(  and you know you've got healthy eggs and he can impregnate you. There Is always invitro. But thank God your ok. Best of luck. Again I'm so sorry

Thanks for the encouragement ladies unfortunately I had a ruptured tubal pregnancy and was admitted to the Hospital Thursday;( my right tube was almost fully removed and my left is severely damaged ;( it doesn't look likely ill be able to have a healthy pregnancy on my own after this.

Thanks ladies ! Im hopeful  my girls are 8 years apart(soon to be 16 and 8) its been a long time for me and I dont remember there being somany issues with my 1st two pregnancies. Im trying to not stress and to just be patient.

I agree with all the others id WAIT. dont rush into a d& c. It took a cpl tries for drs to see this one I'm now 34weeks today with little girl.  Also got very worried Bcuz many times no heartbeat foe awhile but she's doing just fine and only 6 wks to go. Good luck :) Btw this is baby number five in 38yrs old

I had similar issues with my pregnancy this time and my babys heart showed up at the 8wk scan. At 6 wks they were sure I would miscarry and had me come back in 2wks to make sure nothing was there and would schedule the D&C. My cousin, an ultrasound tech, said to only worry if the sac shrinks. Hope you get answers soon because waiting to hear is the worst.

I have seen lots of posts on here about not seeing anything in the sac at 6 weeks. Don't rush to make any decisions yet, hopefully your exam on monday will show your little one, but if it doesn't I still suggest to wait before scheduling the d&c, you might just be earlier then what you thought, good luck!

I would definitely wait before making any decisions.  I had that happen several times, for me they were all blighted ovums & I had D&C's.  I am 37 yrs old & currently 37 1/2 weeks pregnant with a lil boy.  It did not take me any longer to conceive again, I personally had some unexplained fertility issues.  It's true your dates could be off;

If your numbers are rising like that, I would not write off the pregnancy.  It is possible you ovulated a little late.
