Just got my BFP on Monday after doing my 1st IVF cycle.  37yrs old. Would like to connect with others who have made this journey to pregnancy via IVF.

I also have trouble sleeping through the night, it's 4am, and I can't sleep for anything! I understand what you meant about bleeding and being so scared. I started to bleed in this week 10, and have been to A&E twice, once by my house, and all was fine, so did a work trip, and boom, started again, so iff to A&E in a random city. I was warned I could bleed more, but nothing prepares you for seeing it + clots. Thank goodness for scans, to date, all is well. I am pretty much on rest, so will switch to working from home for a month, and no lifting anything. No sickness of any sort, feel great, but, have learned a hard truth that at 42, I need to slow down, relax more, not keep going like all is normal, and let people help me. Next step, looks like I'm telling work a lot sooner than I'd like, but, as I was told today, this is a brief and important moment in your life, don't worry about anything outside of taking care of yourself. Advice I am now taking seriously.

Lol Callie, ok note to self: beware of the meat aisle :-)
I haven't had strange food aversions yet with the exception of developing a sudden intense dislike for a spinach dish that I typically love. When I think of it I feel a mini-gag.

What's hardest for me right now is sleep. I have suffered fr insomnia most of my life but was getting it under control...now though, I am up till late, wake up like 5 or 6 times during the night.  Even with taking a nap midday I am getting less than 6-7hrs a day.

Yea!!! That is fantastic news. I don't have another scan until 11 weeks, so end of April, but everything feels well minus the full on freak out I had in the grocery store at 8 weeks. The meat isle and I suddenly didn't agree with each other and I heated up super fast. Thank goodness my husband was with me as I sat in a corner feeling sorry for myself and then couched myself rest of the day. That was Saturday and on Monday, I was bloated like I was 4 months. It was crazy. The bloat has now relaxed which made me feel less blah. Wonder what the next crazy thing to happen will be?? :)

Congrats Teanerbop! That is awesome news. When
Did you realize it was going to be twins?
Hubby & I were wondering if it is possible I might have twins but have had a 6 and 7wk sono and no mention was made of more than one heartbeat. I am assuming we would know by now right?

Hi Callie, thank you for asking, so thoughtful of you.
First sono was great, got to hear some kid my baby's first heartbeats ....me and hubby were just awestruck! Just went again today for 7 week sono and all is well. Dr said everything is perfect :-)  Heart rate is 143 BPM and currently mean during at 1.14cm which apparently is above average in size...he said it didn't really mean much tho at this stage.

Hi. Just had first IVF transfer on Easter Sunday. HPT was positive a week later and this pass Friday had beta test done in Dr's office. Hcg was a whopping 982!! Was going to do another blood test Monday (tomorrow) but Dr said to wait to Tuesday so an ultrasound can be done. I've been having symptoms pretty much since the veey next day after transfer and have all early pregnancy symptoms except for headache. Been looking for a group with others like me....fairy dust to you all.

Hi Callie73, that  is wonderful news! I am 5 going on 6 weeks...so I guess we are both liking at November babies :-)
It's a rough journey but I am so grateful.
Had a bit of a scare a few days ago when I saw some spotting and then again today. I am attributing It to the fact that I have to use endometrin vaginal inserts  and I am probably going in too far. When I called the nurse after the first time she told me that was likely the issue.
I have my first sono this coming Tuesday. Praying and believing and trusting it will all go well!

I'm 42 and 7 weeks pregnant now through IVF first round. Transfered 2 blastocysts and 1 made it. All OK so far. It's a mind trip with everything you've already been through. I stress over every change, but the 7 week scan was perfect so we keep going!
