Can brown spotting mean pregnancy?

I am 19 years old and me and my boyfriend are sexually active and we use no protection and he doesn't pull out. My last period was on April 19th and it ended on April 25th.  About 5 days after my period stopped I had brown spotting for about a week then it stopped, then a week later I started to have brown spotting again. The brown spotting doesn't even fill up my pantyliners. It is now June 5th and the light brown spotting hasnt stopped. I have a 31 day cycle and it has never been late and I still haven't had a period which means my period is 2 wks and 3 days late. Could I still be pregnant even if I've been spotting for a whole month? Or could it be something else? I had a pap smear about 2 months ago and everything was normal I don't have any infections or STD's. My boyfriend also got checked for STD's and he didn't have anything either. So could that mean that I might be pregnant?

Hello every one...Me and my husband ttc from 7 months but unfortunately v till not get our big BFP. But this time after my normal period complete. suddenly i got brown spotting on 13th day after period with light cramping in right side of the abdominal. than on the 19th day, at the evening i found some light pinkish brown spotting in my penty and till morning i found the same when ever i wiped. I m very confuse about this. is that sign of pregnancy or any thing else?? pls help me....my period is due on 25th aug as i m having 31 days period cycle.

Yes, take a test.  But, I'd suggest buying a brand name, not store brand or generic, even though it is a few bucks more.  I got the generic to save a few bucks and the test results were blank.  Not positive, not negative...just blank!  We then bought the brand name test (E PT, in this case, although doesn't matter which, really) and turned out positive.

Definitely take a HPT.  Brown to light pink spotting can be signs of pregnancy.  I'm a bleeder so when I get pregnant I spot every day until I get to 8 wks pregnant.

Yep.  You need to take a home pregnancy test. Sometimes brown spotting means pregnancy, but it can also be a very light period, or the beginning of a regular period.  If the test is negative, but still no period, see your Dr.

The only way to know is to take a home pregnancy test.  It should be highly accurate since you've missed your period by 2w3d.  There's no way to know if the brown spotting means pregnancy.  Lots of women spot during the 1st trimester or your cycle could be off but since you practice no birth control, chances are you're pregnant.
