3 Weeks Pregnant and Spotting

I just found out 2 days ago at 12 dpo, that I am pregnant. My LMP was on July 4, 2010 and was completely normal.  I started spotting very, very lightly 6 dpo, (before I even knew I was pg) and it has continued on and off now for 9 days. It is very light and only noticable when I wipe.  It ranges from brown to brownish red to pink, but never bright red. I had my first HCG 2 days ago (levels at 32) and am scheduled for my 2nd this afternoon. I am very nervous, and wondered if anyone else has experienced this kind of extensive (yet light) spotting in early pregnancy. I am not having any cramping, but am still concerned that it could be ectopic. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I started miscarrying on Monday after nearly 2 weeks of brown spotting. I have a strange relief that it's finally happening. At least now, I don't have to drive myself crazy wondering and can look toward the future (and trying again).

Not good news today. My levels only went from 32 to 36. I go back in for a 3rd test in the morning. I didn't get to talk to the doctor.  Does this mean 100% that the pregnancy is not viable?

I had spotting at about 12 dpo as well.  Mine was light pink and just when I wiped.  Then it stopped for like a week and started again for another day a week later.  To be honest I spotted a few times throughout my whole first trimester.  At about 10-11 weeks I actually had some bright red spotting (enough to leave a mark in my underwear).  Now I am 24 weeks pregnant and things are going well so far.  Good luck and I hope your levels were good today.  Hope you get the same results I did.

Thanks! I won't know my HCG results until tomorrow. I'm praying that they've gone way up.  The wait is killer!

I spotted 3 times throughout this pregnancy and im only 11 weeks! My nurse said as long as im not cramping or experiencing any discomfort then i should be fine, just get some rest. Have you had intercourse lately? That causes spotting. I was told no intercourse for awhile...the bleeding stopped. You should call your Dr.'s office and check with them. Or i see you have an appt today! i hope everything goes well! Good luck!
