Excercises

I am 6 weeks pregnant. I would like to go for my usual gym workouts. What exercises are safe for my sweet little unborn child?

Check out @babyfatboss on fb/instagram. She does lots of workouts throughout her pregnancy. Even as a couch potato I'm inspired to get moving.  I've started Ellen Barrett's power fusion series which blends ballet,  yoga. It's moderate intensity and fun.

I wanted to do my normal routine as well. I am definitely a fitness girl, but I toned my workouts way back just to be safe. I did fast paced walking until 32 weeks. Now, at 37 weeks I can't walk much. I do toning and strength training with light or no weights (lunges and squats are my favorite). My husband is a personal trainer,  so I had to just accept slower workouts and just focus on retaining muscle memory. It's better to be a little conservative for the benefit of your baby.

Prenatal yoga, walking, & swimming are a few great exercises during pregnancy, but ask your doctor what else they recommend for you. :)
