Not sure what to think.

Whilst in the shower recently I experinced this meat like slither of stuff slide out of me (the period I am having at the moment is very different to other's) there was also very large clots, one was big gu like substance. I went to the toilet to do a wee and more stringy sticky like mucous stuff came out and more clots there was a smell. I don't know what this is about and has definately not happen before. My regular period lasts 4days, now still bleeding day 7. I've been having unprotected sex with my partner even if i have a period up until 2weeks ago. I have some infertility issues so that's why no protection during sex and my partner knows this. I went to the doctor and my urine test was negative and also hcg level 0-5 was negative the nurse said. i think it would only be very early stages if something has happened. I have a very tender abdomen the doctor examined and my lower back sore, also i felt tight in my tummy and got lots of noise from my tummy and its not wind. Can someone suggest what is going on and should I go back to the doctor. I felt quite tired the other day when these clots came through and experienced  pain. I am quite tired from all this. Is this normal experience, please can someone give me an explanation to what is going on with my body/hormones. I am 38yrs and have had high level's of prolactin in the past but is algood now. Ms Confused.

Smelly discharge is not normal. You should go see your health care provider.
