I began IUIs at age 38, and the docs were very hopeful - almost certain it would work. I stopped for financial reasons after several tries, and I was also under a lot of stress at the time. But it certainly has worked for lots and lots of women - depends on your individual circumstances.
Best wishes,

Hi there! I did 4 IUIs at 39/40 yrs of age and got pregnant, but it was ectopic. I had to stop for a year due to an autoimmune reaction, then started again at 41. We got pregnant after 5 IUIs and I am now 24 weeks pregnant and due to deliver at age 42. For us, IVF was just too expensive. Good luck!
There are so many here that have had success with IUI. I wish you the best of luck!!!
Thanks for your responses ladies!! Reading through the posts I've noticed the majority of IUI's work for the most part after 3-4 tries. I hope I have the strength and perseverance it takes to go through it all, it takes such a toll. I'm waiting anxiously for my AF to arrive so I can begin soon. My beta is down to 46 from 94, will test again in a week to make sure it's down to zero. What an emotional roller coaster.
Best wishes to all :)
