Im thinking about painting?

Sometimes I get so inpatient.
Im wanting this babys room to get done! Im really thinking to put on a mask and go paint myself!!!
We are planning on replacing the window and giving this room a redo top to bottom. and to wait for dh to get off his ***!!  I cant do anything they way it is now.
He works hard during the week.. but on the weekends he is watching tv non stop!! I worked all my life so he cant say its because I work and you dont. UGH...
What do you guys think? I dont think it would hurt me as long as I wear a mask? Maybe if I get it started he will fill a little guilty and finish it for me? ha ha ha...
Today is a snow day.. dd is home, would be a good day to start.

The sheet my dr gave me said you could paint after the first trimester.  Maybe if you start he will feel guilty and chip in.

Good luck.. (I HATE painting!!)

Thanks guys... I went in and did the trim work... the smell got to strong to actually paint.  but atleast the trim is mostley done. I didnt go in two of the closets to do. too small of area. nor I didnt do the ceiling trim...lol
guess you can say I just made a big mess... smile

Im using a brownish pink wall with whitewash trim. in the room will have the Teddybear theme. I might throw in some circles... not sure yet.
Im the type I have to see the diffrent steps and get ideas that way.

Her furniture is the witewash finish... I made the mistake of collecting Teddybears and have decited to use my teddybears as decoration in there. of course they will be up high out of reach. Im such a mean mommy!! I just know it will change as she grows...so Im trying to plan ahead.. ha ha..

atleast Im getting somewhere now...I fill better...

I used a mask with dd's pregnancy and it was okay.  I could still smell the paint, though. We just shut the door afterwards and let it air out.  Do you have any friends or family who would be willing to come over and help you?  It's a lot of work to do all of the painting yourself even when you are not pregnant!

I would check with your doctor first. It's still a grey area whether or not it is considered safe. I have a few rooms I'd like to paint before the baby arrives too, but my dad offered because he doesn't want me painting. My mom even wants me to stay at their house until the fumes are gone.

I think it was the old oil based paints that they use to worry about, I painted my nursery and half of my house during my last pregnancy without any problems.

I would look for the non toxic paint. I don't know the name of it, but that's what my DH painted our house with. It is more expensive then others, but it doesn't have all the toxins in it.
